DAVID GILMOUR ON AN ISLAND GETS REISSUE WITH BONUS DVD
On Nov.28, Columbia Records will be re-releasing On An Island, the solo album released earlier this year from David Gilmour, the guitar and voice of the legendary Pink Floyd.
With a DVD of Gilmour's exclusive AOL Sessions performance, this is a must have for die hard Floyd fans.
On An Island is a collection of songs and instruments that had its genus in the critically acclaimed 2002 London Festival Hall concerts. Gilmour has stepped out of his super-group to discover he's still at his peak - and he's rightly pleased.
'Its my best and most personal work,' he says. 'Making it with my musician friends has been a positive experience on so many levels.' And touring it this spring can only take him to a new high.
The DVD content includes the live AOL Sessions and the tracks On An Island, This Heaven, Smile, Take A Breath, High Hopes, Comfortably Numb and Astronomy Domine. A bonus version of Take A Breath is taken from Gilmour's Royal Albert Hall performance.

BORN TO ROCK EXHIBITION SHOWCASES GUITAR ART
A new exhibition includes many rare and extremely valuable guitars, both vintage and modern, and offers visitors a chance to get up close to guitars normally only seen in hands of rock stars.
"Born To Rock" gathers into one place over 150 priceless guitars played by the likes of Brian Jones, Keith Richards, Noel Gallagher, the Edge, Marc Bolan, Neil Young, and blues legend Rory Gallagher.
Fresh from its launch at Galeries Lafayette in Paris, and currently playing to record breaking crowds at the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin until 21st January, Harrods will host "Born To Rock" from 2nd February to 3rd March.
Produced by BigTime.TV, "Born to Rock" is, essentially, a history of rock multi-media experience, showcasing guitars and artists who have helped shape contemporary pop culture, from the blues guitar of John Lee Hooker to indie rockers Franz Ferdinand and Kasabian.

ALISON MOYET SIGNS TO W14
Alison Moyet has signed a new deal with W14 Music - the new Universal Music Group imprint. The deal sees Alison reunited with label head John Williams, who was her A&R man for her past two albums, HOMETIME and VOICE.
Moyet's distinguished career in the UK is recognised with three Brit Awards, nine Top 10 singles, and eight Top 10 albums, including No. 1s, and worldwide records sales in excess of 20 million. She made her stage debut in the West End musical CHICAGO in 2001 playing the role of Matron 'Mama' Thornton to critical acclaim, and in 2006 she wrote the songs for the play SMALLER in which she also performed alongside Dawn French.
John Williams said, 'I am so pleased to be still involved with Alison in her recording career. We are a great team together. I respect and admire her musical risk taking, her wonderful artistry, and am delighted to provide an outlet and home for her music. Her rich and passionate voice, with its sultry blend of R&B and extraordinary resonance make her one of the UK's greatest female vocalists of all time.'
Alison adds, 'It's brilliant still to be working with John, as I have a more open and direct relationship with him than with any other A&R individual previously known to me, and it has been really good for both of us that we understand how the other works.'
Her new studio album is pencilled for release in the summer 2007 -the 25th anniversary of a recording career which began as one half of synth pop duo Yazoo and their debut single, 'Only You'. She has already begun recording with producers the Insects -who produced her gold 2002 Hometime album.
