PAT TRAVERS Stick With What You Know - Live In Europe Provogue (2007)
Guitarist /vocalist Pat Travers is a blues rock legend and has been for 30 years. Even if undiscovered, a legend all the same.
Recorded in Holland, the set opens with "Life In London" and the slower "Crash And Burn", with plenty of intricate guitar work.
Travers has also gone for the fuller sound, adding a second guitarist.
New to the Travers set is the Hendrix track "Red House", with slide aplently, and there's a rendition of Robert Johnson's "If I Had Possession Over Judgement Day" which is much more uptempo; a real driving rhythm that will get you nodding guaranteed.
Albert King's "Oh Pretty Woman" gets an excellent work out too.
Two Travers Signature tunes "Snortin' Whiskey" and "Boom Boom" go down well.
Another good live set, and if you can catch this guy live you must, the guitar work is sublime.
