KAIPA Angling Feelings SPV/Inside Out (2007)
Jazz Fusion goes metal with more than a touch of modern prog. The opening title track also features some flute and recorder, and the excellent intricate guitar work nods at what Eloy did in their latter days. Check out Eloy’s Ocean II and you’ll see what I mean.
'The Glorious Silence Within' has a strong piano content, playing on the Prog side, more art rock, like the same direction Marillion have taken only a little heavier.
The keyboards in 'The Fleeting Existence Of Time' nod at ELP. Add a guitar and strings, and very modern production and you get the idea. Both male and female vocals give a good range (both with power) and break up the patterns, making for interesting listening.
A good album, and enjoyable listen.
