GREY LEVEL Opus One ProgRock Records (2006)

This 3 piece (no drummer, just programming) Canadian band, mixing electric and acoustic guitars and keyboards, produce an original and often thoroughly sound.

From acoustic prog that verges on modern folk to hard'n'heavy with searing guitar harmonies.

There are classical influences from founder Derek Barber (vocals, guitar, bass, keys etc), and at times touches of King Crimson and Jethro Tull. 'Taken' is 21st Century progressive folk too.

Powerful, experimental, it's all here. The elements some guitar pop / indie edge some bands took in the 90s. At times too whimsical, it's certainly different. If it sounds good, it definitely warrants checking out.
