Singer, guitarist, songwriter, who's played with the likes of Supernova, MC5, Heart and Nancy Sinatra. And don't forget Guns n' Roses.
This compilation takes a look at his post G n'R solo work, and kicks off with 'Cure Me Or Kill Me', excellent sleazy hard rock with a rough edge, and without the horrible whiney vocals of G n'R.
'Tiguana Jail' keeps the rock'n'roll edge, with some good work over a bangin' rhythm.
Dilana guests on a rerecording of 'Black', a quality slow number where the female vocals work well.
While the rock'n'roll edge is good, the country isn't, tracks like 'Skin'n'Bones' I just skip over.
Only a couple of tracks are best avoided, a couple more are passable, but about half the album is better than G N'R, either with or without Gilby.
The album also features Eric Singer, Matt Sorum, Dizzy Reed, Slash, Tracii Guns, and a few more.
