WATERCLIME The Astral Factor

Led by Vintersong’s Mr V, who basically plays everything, this album mixes progressive and symphonic rock, with touches of Nordic folk.
Opener 'Mountains' is a strong and heavy number, with the emphasis on modern prog rock, but it’s downhill from there. Tracks become disjointed, and in places aimless with too much folk.
The melodies are good and often catchy, but not utilised or integrated well.
Interesting, in places very enjoyable, but a rather too individual.
