GLYDER Glyder True Talent Records (2006)

Glyder

This young Irish band should go onto great things if this impressive debut is anything to go by. Plenty of influences of Gallagher and Lizzy (who better?), and with producer Chris Tsangarides (Ozzy, Lizzy, Dickinson, Sabbath, Priest etc) at the helm you get a brilliant classic hard rock/metal sound with a solid modern sound.

Opener 'Colour Of Money' nods towards Gary Moore, with both guitars duelling well; the rhythms and lead solos are balanced nicely.

PUP is just plain brilliant. Worth the cover price alone.

'Saving Face' doesn't quite stand up the high standard of the rest of the album, but the rest is really damn good. If you want to experiment with a new band, this is more than worth investigating. A good investment.
