DESTINY Future Of The Past Powerline PLRCD011(2004)
I know nothing about this band at all but the music’s pretty good. The opening two tracks (especially 'Holy Man') are aggressive funk. Kind of unsure whether to go thrash or RHCP, but it comes off OK, if a little disjointed in places.
'Magic Forest' introduces some smoother guitar work. Not quite Maiden but heading there.
'Angels' continues in a similar vein, but the guitars do sound a little harsh and muddled in places. If you have two guitars you need to set a definite lead/rhythm role (AD/DC) or plan a twin lead properly so they intertwine (Judas Priest). These sit inbetween so it’s quite as easy on the ear.
Even so, 'Flying Dutchman' (galloping bass-line at the ready) is a standout track and extremely good.
