BONED Up At The Crack Indie(2004)
When you get a CD like this, with no information whatsoever, it’s hard to know where to start.
The album opens with the title track, with a crunchy guitar and rough vocals. If you think a poor man’s Brian Johnson, Krokus or even Nazareth, with little less boogie and a lot less soul.
Sure the guitar is good, heavy, and there’s some neat work there, but it all sounds empty and hollow. Even when it’s catchy, as some of the riffs are, it’s all pretty second rate.
There’s even elements of Rose Tattoo, but it’s just not a patch. Dan McCafferty, Brian Johnson and Angry Anderson did this so much better, so many years ago too.
