Deathchain – 'Cult of Death', in stores 28th of May
Finland’s Death/Thrash Metal cult Deathchain releases their third album Cult of
Death on May 23rd. Guitarist Corpse has taken the full liability of the song
writing for the third opus. Cult of Death delivers the darkest and most
destructive Deathchain ever. Just read the song titles and you know what’s the
name of the game. If the debut album on 2003 offered the fist towards the
listeners face and from the second album 'Deathrash Assault' on 2005 you could
find couple of almost mid-tempo chin breakers material on the third 'Cult of
Death' album stretch almost to epic measures.
Deathchain changed singer just before the studio sessions. Well-known
entertainer KJ Khaos chants his oath and he was part of the cryptic legion. On
Cult of Death KJ Khaos does a killer job and he truly shows why he was chosen.
Khaos has already been doing couple of shows during autumn 2006 with the band
but the first official show in the front of Deathchain happened in February
2007.
Previous album 'Deathrash Assault' was released in October 2005. Album went to
official Finnish album charts to 18th place. During November and December 2005
Deathchain toured five weeks in Europe playing with the classics Destruction and
Candlemass on 13 countries and doing 25 shows. Deathchain also thrashed the main
stage of the biggest metal festival in Scandinavia, Tuska Open Air. Band well
known from its fist raising thrash attacks on the stages. Band can be seen on
the clubs and festivals during the spring and summer. Current live situation and

MAYHEM – CHAOS IN CHARTS
We're very proud to inform you that MAYHEM's new album "Ordo Ad Chao" has
entered the &&&&Norwegian sales charts at rank 12! It is also #5 in the
Norwegian artists' charts.
MAYHEM's latest did not only enter the
charts in their home country, but also in the UK. "Ordo Ad Chao" notes two
entries: #27 in the Top 50 Independent Album Chart and #26 in the Top 40 Rock &
Metal Album Chart.
In France, "Ordo Ad Chao" entered
position 18 in the Top 100 of best selling albums in Hard, Metal of France's
largest chain store FNAC.

THE TREE'S THIRD FRUIT
French goth metal act THE OLD DEAD TREE will soon enter the Stage One Studio in
Germany, to record their forthcoming album. The recording sessions will start on
next June 3rd and last three weeks. Once again, the band decided to give trust
to producer Andy "Master" Classen.
The band describes the new material as
"a twisted and schizophrenic blend of evocative riffs and arrangements put
together with an overload of sheer emotion. The new songs do widen the previous
artistic borders without disavowing the typical musical identity of the band".
THE OLD DEAD TREE's yet to be named
third album is tentatively due for a worldwide release in autumn 2007, on Season
of Mist. We will get you more details as soon as possible...
SEASON OF FEST
As you already know, three Season of Mist bands, namely MAYHEM, SALEM and FURIA,
are to perform at this year's edition of the Hellfest, set in Clisson, France,
on 22-24 June.
Since most of the label's staff will be there too, we'll be happy to meet you

SONATA ARCTICA - Single tops Finnish chart
SONATA ARCTICA's "Paid in Full" single has entered the Finnish chart at position
No. 1! SONATA ARCTICA's video for "Paid in Full" is available for viewing at
YouTube. The track comes off the group's new album, "Unia" (Finnish for
"Dreams"), which will be released on May 25 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD
was mixed at Finnvox studio in Helsinki and was mastered at the Cutting Room in
Stockholm, Sweden.
THE ACCÜSED - Finally on tour
THE ACCÜSED are preparing for their upcoming European tour, which includes

AEON - Done recording new album
We are now finished recording our new album and the project has been sent to Dan
Swanö @ Unisound Studio so he can start mixing & mastering the album. April was
indeed a hectic month in the studio for us, but we did manage to record
everything in time without too much trouble. 12 songs were put on tape with a
rawer and more brutal sound than we ever had. So we are really looking forward
to see what Dan will make out of this. We are sure it will kill. Stay tuned for
more info!

DISILLUSION - Busy rehearsing for festival season
Hello. Just wanted to let you know that everything is pretty much alright here.
We are very busy rehearsing with the potential new line-up and the preparations
for the upcoming festival season. Some parts have to be re-written some
re-arranged - but despite all the work that needs to be done, last rehearsal we
left the room and thought HELL YEAH! So, all will be good!
Also, the new website is on its way - finally. We are very much looking forward
to its release and the completion of the creative chapter "Gloria" which should
be around end of May. By the way, the record is doing very well in Europe - so
thank you all for supporting us!
And finally we put online new pictures of Jens' final show here in Leipzig two
weeks ago. About two hours before we played that evening the temperature on
stage was about 45°C ! Only God knows how hot is was when DIS was finished!

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER - New album title revealed
According to MTV.com, Detroit-based extreme metallers THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER
have set "Nocturnal" as the title of their follow-up to 2005's "Miasma", due
later in the year via Metal Blade Records. "It's definitely in the same vein as
our older stuff," vocalist Trevor Strnad told MTV.com in January. "Nothing
drastically changed. It's just more tasteful, and some of this new stuff will be
faster than the last record."
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER will record the new CD with Eric Rachel, who mixed
"Miasma". "There's going to be a lot more soloing than we've done previously,"
Strnad explained to MTV.com. "This record's a bit more European-sounding, I
think. More so than we already were, if you can imagine that. The solo stuff has
a black metal-ish flavor to it. We messed around with that a little bit
previously, but some of the songs have a major DISSECTION kind of feel to them."
Lyrically, Strnad said the record — due in the fall — will be "more
horror-oriented" than "Miasma". "As far as gore and death and stuff like that
goes, I mean, that's all been done — into the ground," he said. "I am just
trying to do something like that, but with my own flavor to it. There are still
ways to repulse people out there — I just need to figure it all out."
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER is also working on its first DVD release, which Strnad
hopes will include footage documenting the making of the band's next record.

THE DUSKFALL - Recording almost finished
Hailing from Sweden, THE DUSKFALL have posted a statement regarding the
recording process of their upcoming album "The Dying Wonders Of The World":
"We are finished with all drums, guitars and bass and the sound is crushing! We
have returned to our melodic roots, still keeping those thrashy parts alive and
breathing. There will be more leads on this CD as we brought in an excellent
guitar player as guest musician.
His name is Magnus Söderman and he will play
leads on 4 songs so brace yourself for some brilliant sh*t! Oskar has also
unloaded his best drumming on this recording, excellent fills and also a drum
solo on one of the tracks. The only thing left do is for Kai to scream his lungs
out and then we will mix this beast in end of May. For those interested we have
put up some clips at this location!"
UNEARTH part ways with Mike Justian
UNEARTH have officially parted ways with drummer Mike Justian: "Last night
marked the end of the line for Mike Justian with UNEARTH. There are many reasons
why we decided it was time to move on without him, but we are not in the
business of airing dirty laundry. We will say that we grew apart as individuals
and as musicians and the split will be best for both the band and Mike.
"In true UNEARTH fashion, we will continue on without skipping a beat. We are
pleased and honoured to say that Gene Hoglan of STRAPPING YOUNG LAD is filling
in for the rest of our tour with DIMMU BORGIR, DEVIL DRIVER and KATAKLYSM. He
will take the stage for the first time with us tonight in Vancouver, BC. Gene is
an unreal musician and has learned a set in extremely short notice. We can not
thank him enough for lending his skills to our band for this tour.
"Mike is an amazing drummer and will surely turn up in another band soon. We
travelled the world with him, shared some of the best experiences of our lives
and can call him a brother forever. It was just time for both parties to split,
plain and simple. We wish him the best of luck with all of his future

As some of you may know or not, CELLADOR is currently headfirst into writing for
the next album. "The plan is to compose upwards of 20 songs and then pick out
the best 10-12 for the next album. We hope to enter the studio and begin
recording in Fall '07 with a planned release for early 2008."
Currently the band is in pre-production stages for a few songs, and so they
decided to put together a series of videos during these writing sessions to give

TORTURE KILLER in writing mood
TORTURE KILLER will enter the studios in November to start recording a follow up
to their 2006 "Swarm!" album.
"After the basic tracking done in Finland we will move to Hit Factory Miami,
where Chris will start laying down the vocal tracks and hopefully the CD will be
finished by the end of the year for an early 2008 release. Things are moving
along nicely and we are confident that we will have decent death metal album on
our hands -
The new songs are sounding great, all the 'Swarm!' elements are
there and we think we've taken another step ahead with our approach on death
metal, some really haunting guitar licks combined with a groove and more
attacking style, hopefully we can catch all this energy the right way and I'm
sure people are definitely going to enjoy this one. More updates, song titles
and stuff as things move along.
