The second album by this trio this year and one with an obvious seasonal flavour. It contains some very different interpretations of established Christmas tunes such as `Jingle Bells', `Silent Night' and `God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen'. The guitar playing is superb, none more so than the reworking of `Merry Xmas Mr Lawrence', a track that stands out on this CD. Other highlights are `Greensleeves' which again features sublime acoustic guitar playing. Apart from the guitars there is only some sax and bells but the songs feel fuller, a case where less is more.

A very welcome change from all those tired old Christmas compilations that get wheeled out very year. Perfect music for your Christmas celebrations and a great way to chill out. With a bit of airplay and exposure this could be a Christmas winner as anyone can enjoy this CD regardless of whether you like rock music or not.
