Superinferno have just released their debut single, `White Night' and
it's a catchy slice of modern rock, with a big nod to 70's rock. They
have already got considerable live experience under their belt and
look set to become an established act in 2004.
1. What are you currently up to? (E.g. touring/studio, etc.)
At the moment we are working on new songs and gigging with our new
drummer Dion.
2. Who was/is are the biggest influences on your career? |
To name them all would probably more take up more than several pages
but here are some: Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins…
3. Brief history of your work to date and the style of music you play.
The Superinferno project has been going on for quite some time (3-4
years), but the whole thing got in full force in the last couple of
years with the joining of Don (drums) and Jon (bass). Style: Rock
with passion!
4. What has been the highlight(s) and lowpoint(s) of your career to date?
In our first review in local papers we were compared with Motorhead
and REM (we sound nothing like them!) which was very flattering. Low
points: we will leave the blues for another time!
5. What would Superinferno like to achieve by the end of 2004?
We would like to get on the radio, get into charts and make an album!
6. How did you found it getting airplay for your single 'White Night'? Have you made a video for the cable/satellite music channels?
We made a video with footage from one of our live gigs.
7. What has been the live highlight(s) for the band? How easy/hard is
it to get gigs and promotion for gigs?
Each of our gigs is very exciting for us. Regardless for whom or how
many people we play, we always give all we got and enjoy it to the
maximum. Jon usually books our gigs and does a great job.
8. Do you see the interest in rock & metal music growing in the UK at
the moment? What bands do you admire and/or are an influence?
With bands like The Darkness doing their own thing the interest in
rock music is definitely on the way up!
9. If you could create a fantasy band - what would be the line-up and
why?
Drums- J. Chamberlain or D. Grohl (they've got the rhythm!), Bass- P.Lynott or J. Entwistle (the bass work at its best), Guitar- J.
Hendrix or P. Green (my favourite guitarists and biggest influences)
10. What CD's do you currently have available and where can they be
purchased from?
We are currently in talks with distribution companies.
11. Message to your fans...
Best to you all.
