1. What are you currently up
to? |
Our 2nd album 'Signs Of Purity' is finished and should be released
in June 03, We are also doing a hand full of shows in june which
are.... Fri 13th Archers-Barnsley... Sat 14th Penningtons-
Bradford.... Sun 15th Pressure Point-Brighton....These dates are with
Lost Weekend and Deadline. We should also be playing a couple of
dates with Danger Danger but these are yet to be confirmed.
|
2. Who were your
influences? |
There are so many influences to mention. As far as musicianship it
would have to be Paul Gilbert and John Petrucci but as far as live
bands it was definately Skid Row and Aerosmith that made me want to
get up on stage and give it some 'Balls'.
|
3. Brief history of the band plus the style of music you play.
|
The band has been together for about 3 years, we wrote the 1st
album 'Far From The Edge' which was released in 2001 and as i said we
have just completed the 2nd album 'Signs of Purity' Which the whole
band think is a huge step up for us in both writing and
musicianship. The style is just Rock music, i suppose if i have to be
precise it would be Melodic Rock with a Hard edge to it.
|
4. What has been the highlight(s) and lowpoint(s) of your career to
date? |
High point was deffinately being signed to Toshiba EMI, we all got
horribly drunk after signing that contract,
Low point would have to be, not being able to get gigs or tours for
about a year after the release of the debut album. We were promised
so many tours and either the headlining bands wanted stupid amounts
of money off us or the promoters pulled out, i think all bands that
are in our genre will understand how hard it is!!!
|
5. What has been the best show(s) Pride have played so far?
|
Definitely BELFAST-IRELAND that placed rocked. Great sound, great
crowd all you could ask for.
|
|
6.
If you could create a fantasy band - what would be the line-up and
why?
|
For me personally it would be Seb Bach-Vocals... Zak Wyld & Paul
Gilbert-Guitars....Rudy Sarzo-Bass and Deen Castronovo on Drums. I
think its safe to say that would be the most energetic all out rock
band you could hope to see.
|
7.
What state do you think rock music and live gigs are in at the
moment?
|
Well rock music is still around but just not the way that we all
used to love it, I think the bands of today have substituted
Musicianship for gimics like face masks or stage scenery, they may
fool the kids but i think even they know who the true 'Rock Stars'
are or were as the case usually is now, but I still live in hope that
a wild rock band with screaming guitars and melodic vocals will take
over the music scene!!!!!! As far as GIGS...WHAT GIGS!!
|
8. What sort of set can fans expect at the Gods?
|
We will be playing a couple of tracks off the new album and the
rest will be off the debut album.
|
9. How did the recent dates with Vaughn go? Who else would you love to
tour with?
|
Danny was awesome, we had such a great time in Ireland. Lots of
Guiness and lots of loud music... It was perfect. And I think it
would have to be Firehouse I would love to play with at the moment ,
it would be a good gig for melodic rock fans.

10. Message for your
