RUMOURS
OF FLEETWOOD MAC
Lowry Theatre, Salford 28 May 2012
Before we go any further let me say this is not just another tribute
band!
As the sun still shone over the Lowry Theatre we arrived in plenty of
time to take our seats for one of the best gigs I have been to in recent
years.
The 8
members kicked the concert off with tracks such as 'Dreams',
'Everywhere' and 'Sarah'. The sound of the band was superb not only
because they are all very good musicians but the lead singer i.e the
Stevie Nicks part - was almost as good if not better as Ms Nicks
herself.
After 45 minutes and a stunning version of 'The Chain' and a 20 minutes
break the band returned without the 2 girl singers for the second part
of the gig.
In this
section we were treated to a few early FM classics which included, 'Man
Of The World', 'Oh Well', 'Green Manalishi' and a rather tasty rendition
of 'Albatross' the big hit from the 1960s.
So to part
3, the girls returned to end the show with another 20 minutes of
stunning renditions of FM songs which ended with a great performance of
'Tusk'.
If I had to mark this gig out of 10 it would be a big 10. The band are
nearing the end of this year’s tour but if you are a FM fan you must see
these guys.
Great gig
!!!
