ROBIN BECK The Great Escape (2011)
Robin Beck is back and, strangely, not on Frontiers who released her last album, the enjoyable 'Livin' On A Dream'. They have missed a treat here!
Her other half House Of Lords James Christian lands a hand, as does Joe Lynn Turner and Tommy Denander amongst others. The majority of the tunes are co-written with Christian and Denander, so the quality is there as you'd expect.
There is much to enjoy including 'The One', a song that harks back to her late 80's sound and features a massive chorus. 'Everything Is Alright' will be right up the street of fans of the commercial sound of Heart.
Her duet with Joe Lynn Turner on 'That All Depends' is high quality melodic rock as both vocalists sing up a storm between them. This done live would be amazing - Firefest take note!
Not to be outdone James Christian pops-up to duet on 'Till The End Of Time', a big number to finish the album off in style.
Her last album was good but this one blows it out of the water! Quality female melodic rock as it should be done, get a copy and enjoy...
