VK LYNNE Whiskey Or Water (2010)
VK relocated to Philadelphia to record her debut album The King Of V (2001), and the follow up Black Halo (2005). Neither set the world on fire and while they both hinted at what might be, VK seemed unsure what road to take.
That changed when she was contacted by Danish producer James Thomas (Cher, Beth Hart) about collaborating on a fresh direction.
The result, Whiskey Or Water - an excellent AOR blues based album that stands just nicely on the rock side of the radio friendly line.
In many ways, it's the album that Billie Myers never made - her shooting star, jet propelled by Kiss The Rain, never really left the launch pad. And while Whiskey Or Water may not have a track of such epic proportions, there's not a runt in sight and VK's erogenous zone arousing vocals are about as sexually charged as they come.
If you're longing for a modern day equivalent of the likes of Billie Myers, Amanda Marshall and Sophie B Hawkins, look no further.
