ROCK GODDESS Hell Hath No Fury Lemon (2010)

Rock Goddess

This all female NWoBHM band always lived in the shadow of fellow south Londoners Girlschool, but did produce some decent metal.

Hell Hath No Fury was the band’s second album, and featured new bassist Dee O’Malley replacing Tracey Lamb. The band had been formed by Turner sisters Jody (guitar, vocals) and Julie (drums), and while the first album was given a raw sound by producer Vic Maille, here Chris Tsangarides gives a more polished set.

This album has been so long overdue on CD, some classic and memorable metal that is slightly rough at times and beautifully melodic at others.

A really good album worth checking out.

Sadly the different European and US track listings haven’t been reconciled, so while there are 3 single b-sides added as bonuses, the single a-sides don’t appear on the album.
