WILL KEVANS Everything You Do (2009)
UK based singer songwriter Will Kevans has assembled an impressive supporting cast on his debut solo album Everything Will Do.
Producers include Ian Grimble (Travis, Manics), Gavin Monaghan (The Editors, Ryan Adams) and Mark Plati (Bowie, Prince, while contributors include slide guitar legend Al Perkins, former Beautiful South vocalist Alison Wheeler, James Blunt pianist Paul Beard, and ex Steely Dan and Doobie Brother's guitarist Elliot (Reelin' In The Years) Randall.
Aimed fairly and squarely at the James Blunt, James Morrison and Robbie Williams easy on the ear pop/rock market, the album is already winning over fans. Dialling Tone recently won an award in the International Songwriting competition, and the excellent Sand Makes A Pearl (a real stand out track, even if it does borrow from Madonna's What It Feels Like For a Girl) went to #2 in the German mp3 charts, while Here To Stay would be manna from heaven for Robbie Williams (as would a number of other songs).
One of the new breed of singer-songwriters on the new folk acoustic circuit, Everything You Do is a quality piece of adult orientated pop that suggests that Will Kevans is set to become a household name.
