REDEMPTION Snowfall On Judgment Day Inside Out (2009)

Redemption

'Snowfall On Judgment Day' is the 4th album from American progressive rock band Redemption. The album is heavy, melodic and technically bang on the money- and with all bar 2 of its 11 tracks weighing in at over 6 and a half minutes, this eagerly anticipated release will please fans of the band.

There are overtones of Dream Theater, Rush and even Yngwie Malmsteen at times throughout 'Snowfall On Judgment Day', and yet there are also heavier moments that are reminiscent of Megadeth or Metallica. It is this mixture of influences that keeps the album sounding fresh and keeps the listeners attention.

Redemption are a 6-piece band and vocalist Ray Alder (ex- Fates Warning) has the perfect voice to compliment the work of guitarists Nick Van Dyk and Bernie Versailles, alongside keyboardist Greg Hosharian.

Highlights include opening track 'Peel', 'Black And White World' and the slow building epic that is the 11-minute 'Love Kills Us All/ Life In One Day'. A special mention must also be made to 'Another Day Dies'- a duet featuring Alder and Dream Theatre vocalist James La Brie.

Fans of any of the bands mentioned above will enjoy 'Snowfall On Judgment Day'.
