DORO Fear No Evil AFM Records (2009)
Doro is back, complete with a Manowar approved album cover! The album is classic Doro being a mix of no holds bar metal anthems, sing-a-long metal and the odd quieter moment.
Highlights have to be the single 'Celebrate' (check out the single version as you get Saxon's Biff Byford guesting on a version and another one features various female metal vocalists), which is a celebration of all things metal. 'Night Of The Warlock' is one of the aforementioned sing-a-long metal moments complete with razor sharp guitar and some demon drumming courtesy of Johnny Dee (he of glam metal band Britny Fox fame!).
For a quieter moment '25 Years' hits the spot and celebrates Doro's 25 years in metal. Fellas stand by though as she starts the song by whispering 'I love you' in your ears and you may never recover after that...
'Herzblut' just shows that whether she sings in her native German or English Doro still has the power to grab you. Only the ballad 'Walking With The Angels' misses the mark as it sounds a bit too cliched.
A fine album to celebrate Doro's twenty five years in metal and one that highlights all that is great about Doro Pesch and her music.
