POLEY-RIVERA Only Human Angel Milk Records (2008)
Danger Danger's Ted Poley teams-up again with Adriangale guitarist Vic Rivera again - they previously worked together on a Ted Poley solo release back in 2005 through Kivel Records. As you'd expect it is a slab of high quality melodic hard rock that will certainly delight fans of Danger Danger whilst they await that band's new album.
One real highlight is the album's mellowest song, 'Crossing The Ocean' which sees Ted Poley give it his all vocally and features a wonderful guitar solo that will have fans of Toto in ecstasy. 'NWS' and 'Keep On Fighting' really grab the listener first time with big riffs and even bigger choruses. 'Did We Just Have A Moment' brings to mind White Lion - that's the classic 80's sound not the tame version of today. 'The Bigger They Come' again features great harmonies and another fine solo from Vic Rivera.
A cracking set of melodic hard rock tunes and yet again Ted Poley is on fine form, ably backed by the guitar talents of Vic Rivera. The production is top notch mamking for an album to keep on repeat play.
