Bass player Mo Foster has worked with many top names, both live and in the studio as well as releasing a string of solo albums, many now getting a full release via Angel Air. This one was originally recoreded and released back in 1999. As well as Mo Foster the album features Ray Russell and Doug Boyle (Robert Plant).
It was recorded in a church and far from being choral it is more one for fans of light jazz rock. The musicianship is top notch as you would expect with some lovely bass and piano on 'Waves II' and 'Omapere Dawn'. If the album has any real weakness it is after a few plays some songs do sound very similar, although not being a great fan of jazz do look into this release more if jazz rock floats your boat.
Very well played with a lovely clear sound throughout certainly one for fans of Mo Foster's varied works and full marks to Angel Air for giving this a full release.
