BLONDIE Parallel Lines (Deluxe Collector's Edition) EMI (2008)
Released 30 years ago, September 1978, and the band's most popular album. By this time they were riding the crest of a new wave, and the hits kept on coming. Five from this offering, to be precise.
For this special collector's edition we get bonus versions of Heart Of Glass (7" single version), a French version of 'Sunday Girl' and two remixes for 'Hanging On the Telephone' and 'Fade Away and Radiate'.
It's a pity they didn't consolidate the earlier 2001 reissue which contained bonus live tracks. But, hey, you get a DVD with four vids including a Top Of The Pops appearance for 'Sunday Girl' demonstrating why Blondie (or at least Debbie Harry) were the most visual of their punky peers.
Worth having for completism although you really can't go too far wrong with the 'Greatest Hits' CD/DVD set that came out in 2005.
