VINDICTIV Escape Music (2007)
New band whose main selling point is vocalist Goran Edman (Karma/Malmsteen) and as he is involved my expectations were higher than normal for a band's debut release.
Sadly, despite some great songs like the heavy opener 'Fools' Paradise' and the riff-tastic 'The Royal Loo' (great song title!), overall it just fails to push the music into a 'must have' release.
The main drawback for me is that most songs have a widdly guitar solo as an intro which wears thin after repeated plays. Edman's vocals are as you'd expect top notch and there are some neat keyboard flourishes throughout the album.
A solid album but I was expecting more and it is not a patch on the classic Karma 'Wonderland' album.
