TOTO Falling In Between Live Eagle Rock (2007)
A double live CD from Toto's latest tour and a different line-up than last time around with bassist Leland Sklar filling in for Mike Pocaro and Tony Spinner on guitars/vocals, with Greg Phillinganes the long term replacement for David Paich on keyboards and vocals.
These three join the core of guitarist Steve Lukather, drummer Simon Phillips and vocalist Bobby Kimball.
The set list features many highlights from the band's excellent latest release 'Falling In Between' including the title track and the wonderful 'Bottom Of Your Soul'. There are also some gems from their back catalogue such as 'Isolation', 'Pamela' and an acoustic twist on 'Stop Loving You'.
Of course the classics are here as you'd expect 'Africa', 'Hold The Line' and 'Rosanna'. The other great thing about the band is their musicianship and live they tend to stretch themselves more with extended solo spots for Steve Lukather, Greg Phillinganes and Simon Phillips.
Another fine live recording from a band who delight their many fans in the live arena and are certainly worth seeing live. There is also an accompanying DVD release.
