TD LIND Let's Get Lost Tall Tale (2007)
TD Lind’s debut release proved a hit with BBC Radio’s 2 and 6 plus gained some very favourable reviews and he has supported James Blunt amongst others.
This album sees TD Lind hook-up with noted producer Rupert Hine (Suzanne Vega/Bob Geldof/Chris de Burgh) to produce a very enjoyable set of songs that cover many musical avenues.
For example you have the radio friendly rock of ‘One Fine Day’ - reminiscent of Collective Soul at their best. The title track is a tune you just want to play again and again.
Then there is the gospel tinged ‘Jesus Christ’ and you get a bit of acoustic blues on album closer ‘Disco Boat’. ‘Radio Proposal’ and ‘Falling’ are other songs that are sure to garner airtime amongst his radio fans like Bob Harris.
Some may say too much variety can hinder an album but they would be wrong as this album oozes class and the very strong, melodic voice of TD Lind.
Very good use of electronic samples as well as you’d expect from Rupert Hine’s involvement in the production.
