VARIOUS A Tribute To Sting & The Police - Every Song You Make Vol.1 Store For Music SFMCD004 (2007)

Police Tribute

Originally released back in 2001 this tribute album has mixed results. It is definitely worth getting if you are a fan of FM's vocalist Steve Overland (FM's Pete Jupp is on backing vocals throughout the album as well) who sings on four songs on here including 'Every Breath You Take' and 'Message In A Bottle'.

Elsewhere Doogie White (Rainbow/Cornerstone) pops up on 'Walking On The Moon' and does a sterling version. But Chris Thompson disappoints on 'Nothing 'Bout Me' and the female vocalist Jill Saward of Shakatak 'fame' is very average.

For FM fans worth it for the Steve Overland fronted songs, otherwise only get if you're a fan of the Police/Sting. Good production just a shame on a couple of the vocals - the Outfield would have shown them how to cover the songs that's for sure!
