BLUEHORSES Cambridge Rock Festival 2007 18 August 2007
Describing the next act as a surprise package wouldn’t go half way to describing the performance given by Celtic prog rockers the Bluehorses.
Clad in an unusual yet impressive array of gothic gear, they provided a fantastic visual experience. One, which seemed a little at odds with their musical style, never the less totally they tore the place up, making more than made a few friends in the process.
Led by the irrepressible Liz Prendergast, the headbanging violinist and multi-instrumentalist they thundered through a set, which had a bit of everything. Metal, Celtic rock, folk and enough of a prog feel throughout to meld it into a massively exciting package.

Whilst not being overly choreographed each band member knew exactly how to project themselves at any given time, in a mass of flying hair, roaring riffs and fantastic fiddle.
Without doubt a band everybody needs to catch live, a thought seemingly backed up by Radio Caroline, who broadcast their whole set live!
