BEE GEES Greatest 2-CD, Rhino (2007)
Love them or hate them, the Bee Gees have sold over 180 million records and have a track record for writing successful songs (not only for themselves but for a number of other artists that have taken their songs up the charts).
This double CD is a reissue of their 1979 'Bee Gees Greatest' album includes the big hits from the 1975-79 era including 'How Deep Is Your Love', 'Stayin’ Alive' and 'Night Fever' plus bonus tracks, the previously unreleased 'Warm Ride' and the 12' promo version of 'Stayin’ Alive'.
The band had a consecutive six number 1 singles in an 18-month period and these are all included here ('Too Much Heaven', 'Tragedy', 'Love You Inside Out' and the three tracks mentioned above). For a new generation discovering The Bee Gees, there are also remixes of 'You Should Be Dancing', 'If I Can’t Have You', 'How Deep Is Your Love' and 'Night Fever'- all mixed by current club DJs.
There is also a special 30th anniversary edition of the film 'Saturday Night Fever' due for release at the same time.
A well packaged nostalgia trip.
