More confusing genius, DVD debut for 1982 VHS release...
Originally released on VHS in 1982 and now highly sought after, this film makes its DVD debut and will please all Zappa fans.
Utilising Zappa’s innovation, invention and zaniness in presentation, we get clips of Zappa in the studio interspersing material from two concerts, from the KCET Studios 1974 TV Special and 1981 Halloween show in New York.
If you know Zappa, you’ll know you can’t pin down or describe his style, it encompasses everything. And it’s not just the music, for on stage you get messages, stories, everything. A Zappa live show is an event. The studio clips are equally mad, but only irrelevant if you’re not open or used to Zappa.
Tracks include Stinkfoot, Cosmik Debris and Montana. Some animation too, and look out for guitar whizz Steve Vai.
With bonus material too, it’ll please many, and confuse even more.
