TR3NITY ‘Precious Seconds’ Cyclops (2004)
This is the band’s second album and it carries on where the debut left off
as Tr3nity continue to mine a rich seam of quality progressive music. Five
songs (the shortest a mere ten minutes long), all dealing with the fact that
we only have a short time on earth and about making the most of it. Again
the piano and keyboards on display are a delight to the ears none more so
than on ‘Run Before You Walk’ (the vocals bought to mind former Styx singer
Dennis de Young). In fact this track would appeal to Keane and Coldplay fans
if they listened with open minds and ears.
The epic 20 minutes plus of ‘The Last Great Climb’ rounds the album off in style featuring neat guitar and
keyboard passages but never to overlong to lose the listener’s interest.
Truly a band worthy of a place in your music collection and like the
recent Kino and Arena releases will appeal to a much wider audience than
just progressive rock fans.
