If you've been brought up on a diet of singer-songwriters, from James Taylor through Paul Simon to
Sting and Suzanne Vega, you should investigate Teitur. 'Poetry And Aeroplanes' is full of rich imagery, fine playing
and production faery-dust from Rupert Hine. It's an album that demands repeat listenings.
'Sleeping With The Lights On' and 'You're The Ocean' are infectious, but Teitur is most effective on
the more acoustic offerings such as the beautiful title track with its subtle string arrangement and tracks
like 'Josephine' where his plaintive voice accompanies bared-down acoustic guitar. Tales of love, life and loneliness
is what this CD is all about. Worth taking a chance on.
