RESISTANCE Lies In Black Lion Music (2005)
Sometimes you get a CD to review that is neither horrid nor excellent. This
CD is decent metal played well with decent songs.
The title track is typical, simple chorus fists in the air stuff. There is very much a Megadeth
feel to this lot; especially on tracks like 'Bridge to Nowhere'. This is not
in any sense a bad thing and there is enough on here to sink your teeth
into.
They claim to have picked their name in response to nu-metal...they
are the old school resistance. There is nothing wrong with trad West Coast
metal and if you like it then you will like these guys. Having toured with
a bunch of old school metallers it will be interesting to see if they will
be able to take the next step at rise about the decent to the great.
