Making of a landmark rock album...
Part of the 'Classic Albums' TV series that has been aired in the UK,
this DVD deals with one of the landmark albums of the 70's. It really is a
fascinating DVD in that you get each band member taking you through how the
sounds were created (the Dave Gilmour guitar parts are a must) plus you also
get the album's engineer, Alan Parsons' input and views on the album. All
the tracks on the album are aired, along with demo versions, bits of promo
videos and live footage of the time.
Bonus features include more in depth discussion with Dave Gilmour and
Roger Waters, the latter giving general views on the music industry and
life. The sound quality is excellent throughout and the only slight downside
is the lack of a more detailed inlay booklet, but that's a small aside.
An essential purchase for all Floyd fans as it provides a fascinating
insight into the making of a classic rock album.
