PHANTOM X Rise Of The Phantom Mausoleum Records(2005)
Fronted by Omen vocalist Kevin Goocher, Phantom X revel in classic metal, with a touch of flair most notably in the fast guitar solos and anthemnic choruses.
It really is classic riff driven metal with songs like ‘Metal Warrior’ and ‘Rise of the Phantom’ leaving you in no doubt what is on offer musically.
‘Enchanted’ sounds like a Dio slow burner, mind you the band bio states the band were originally formed as a Dio tribute band. Broken Teeth’s Jason McMaster guests on ‘Pain Machine’, another brutal dose of metal although ‘Plenty Evil’ sounds a tad pedestrian.
Classic metal and great fun!
