One of the UK’s longest serving progressive rock bands are back with a new album and one that as ever sees the ban trying new musical paths.
This time around there is a healthy dose of Celtic music added into the musical mix and it works very well particularly on opener ‘Believe’, easily the highlight of the album with its thought provoking lyrics.
Clive Nolan as usual plays up a storm on his keyboards but special mention also to guitarist Nick Barrett who conjures up some wonderful acoustic passages notably on ‘The Wisdom Of Soloman’.
Fans will love this album and for those who are lapsed prog rock fans or are wary of this genre I urge you to give this a listen (and Arena’s new album) just to see what you’ve been missing. Timeless music played by very accomplished musicians.
