NEIMO From Scratch (2006)

From Scratch is the debut album from Parisian underground outfit Neimo (Matthieu Joly - keyboards, Camille Troillard - guitars, Bruno Alexandre - vocals, and Alexis Hadefi - drums).

With influences embedded firmly in the eighties such as Blondie, New Order, and The Smiths, but as varied as The Kinks, Frank Zappa, King Crimson, and Iron Maiden, what you get is a steaming hot mix of pop, rock and funk which sounds like maybe Michael Hutchence didn't take a one way trip, but has resurfaced in the Parisian underground and put another shit hot funk rock band together.

With Matthieu's excellent vocals, some spicy guitar work from Camille and a rock solid rhythm section, Neimo could be that a exception to the rule - a Fench band with the ability to cut it in the UK and US markets.
