From 'down under' Starsign: Tarantula is the band's second album, which the they will be touring to the UK to promote in March /April 2007.
Following their debut Bubblegum Love, Montana peddle a brand of perfect indie pop. MTV, Rejected has brought comparisons with fellow antipodean rockers The Vines, while Good Goes Bad has appeared in Channel 5's Tripping Over series.
The album opens with Good Goes Bad - a catchy slice of mop top rock and roll. It's clean cut and dressed in it's Sunday best. And the same goes for most of what's on offer here, none of which would sound out of place in a teen movie / TV series.
For the UK release, the album includes an additional 'exclusive' 5 tracks, so you can't complain at value for money.
There's no denying that there's some pretty perfect pop here. But this reviewer, at least, was left wondering whether the target audience is the teen market dominated by Busted and then McFly, or a more mature rock audience.
