MELBOURNE Night Star (Mystic Records 2002)
She has worked with Tricky and Mike Oldfield in the past. This solo album
also features her husband and ReGenesis member Doug Melbourne. Best
described as a mix of modern loops/keyboards and world music influences.
Opener ‘Shanti’ is the best song on the CD, not unlike an Enya meets world
music track. But the rest of the album does wear thin, especially in the
vocal department! ‘Water in the Well’ has a trippy, laid back feel but other
tracks just wash over you and you would be hard pushed to remember much
after listening to this CD a few times.
