Heard the name but never heard any music by the band before and what a
treat I have been missing! Another top notch female fronted progressive rock
band with Christina on vocals, Chris Fry (lead guitar), Tim Robinson
(drums), Martin Rosser (guitar) and Rob Reed (bass/keys/piano). The album
here is based on the seven sins of man and it is classic epic music in the
style of Yes and Kansas (the shortest song being five minutes long).
All the songs are top draw production wise with clever use of harmony
vocals, none more so than the opener ‘Gluttony’, with its classic 70’s era
Kansas feel. Some sterling guitar work on this track as well. Christina’s
voice is a revelation as well, very melodic and suits the music down to the
ground. Lots to enjoy including the gentle ‘Envy’ and ‘Lust’ with a string
section expanding the overall soundscape. A fantastic listening experience -
just go and buy the CD!
An album for those who like 70’s prog rock and latter day bands like
Karnataka and Quecia. Pretty damn essential.
