KT TUNSTALL Eye To The Telescope EMI (2006)
A year after its UK release KT Tunstall’s debut album gets a US release. She recently wowed the Brits and although often lumped in with new folk artists like Seth Lakeman et al she has appeal way beyond the singer/songwriter market.
'Suddenly I See' has been possibly overplayed here in the UK but it is still a damn fine tune, along with fellow airplay favourite 'Another Place To Fall'.
Tunstall adds modern touches where required like the loops on 'Universe & U' and the rhythmic backbeat to 'Stoppin The Love'.
KT Tunstall is blessed with a very melodic voice that you can listen to over and over again, which is one of the reasons why this album has been such a huge hit.
For any lover of good music this album is worthy of a place in your collection.
