JOHN MARTYN Live In Nottingham 1976 One World OW124CD (2005)
This gig from October 1976 is probably for fans only. It's part of the official bootleg series and, as such, the quality isn't brilliant.
In fact, horror of horrors, it's in mono!
Martyn was actually playing a solo benefit gig, so it's just him, mainly acoustic guitar, and of course his distinctive drawl and banter.
He features tracks from the 1975 album 'Sunday's Child' and a new piece written for his friend and sometime collaborator Paul Kossoff who had died in March 1976, 'Dead On Arrival'.
Martyn-spotters will need this CD for that one track alone, and for 'One For The World', as they're not otherwise available. Both were demoed for the album 'One World' but never appeared.
The rest of us can probably gen up on Martyn's music in much better ways. For completists only.
