JOHN FOGERTY The Long Road Home Fantasy/Concord Music (2005)
A real treat, as this compilation rounds-up the best of Creedance Clearwater Revival plus Fogerty's solo material.
For fans possessing both there are four new previously unreleased live recordings – 'Bootleg', 'Key Tonight', 'Keep On Chooglin' and 'Fortunate Son'.
There is also a fried-up-liver version of 'Rockin' All Over The World' (made famous of course by the mighty Quo).
With tracks like 'Up Around The Bend', 'Down On The Corner' and 'Bad Moon Rising' you can't go wrong, and even Fogrty's solo tracks chosen for this compilation stand up well against the Creedance classics.
Tracks like his hit single 'Centrefield' and 'Hot Rod Heart' get the old feet tapping away.
This 25-track compilation is an ideal starting point for listeners new to Foerty's work or those who only know a few Creedance numbers.
The four previously unreleased live recordings will of course entice in the existing fans so a winner all round then!
