Cheaply packaged DVD from mid 80s melodic rockers...
IQ were one of a new breed of 80s rock, largely playing neo prog rock. Mixing prog with melodic rock, led equally by guitar and keyboards, it’s thoroughly enjoyable. Don’t be put off by the dodgy New Wave / New Romantic haircuts and clothing of the singer and guitarist.
A highlight is “Outer Limits”, the opening track of their then new album.
Recorded in May 1985, IQ should have spanned several audiences and become a much bigger than they were. Still going strong, this is a rare live recording and for fans well worth checking out, despite the short running time.
Other bands in this series include Di'Anno, Girlschool, Twelfth Night, Pallas, Wrathchild and Magnum, amongst others.
