GEORGE THOROGOOD & THE DESTROYERS 30th Anniversary Tour Eagle Rock (2004)
Recorded on his UK tour earlier this year these CD and DVD releases do
what they say on the tin. Namely, no frills blues rock played by Thorogood
and his very loud and tightly knit band. The classics are here - 'Bad To The
Bone' with that trademark Thorogood slide, 'Move It On Over' and 'Who Do You
Love'. Plus newer tracks blend seemlessly into the set like the guitar
driven 'Don't Let The Bossman Get You Down'.
The DVD extras include a sound check version of 'Merry Christmas Baby'; an acoustic run through 'Ride 'Til
I Die' and the promo video for 'American Made'. Although the latter is
hardly much different from the rest of the DVD as it is filmed in a live
setting!
CD or DVD, take your pick but either are worth it to experince a true
blues rocking legend, whose natural arena is the stage and a live
performance.
