Swedish prog metallers in concert...
Swedish prog metal band The Flower Kings, caught in concert on their European tour in early 2006.
While previously you'd be hard pushed to find songs running under 15 minutes, their last album Paradox Hotel was a 2CD set so with a plethora of new material even the older arrangements were shortened.
The title track of that album kicks off proceedings, and there's many Flower King classics new and old along the way. Hard and fast, then slow, and up again with searing guitar solos et al.
Not the most commercial prog around but still enjoyable. Touches of Pallas and Marillion, and some band/audience interplay.
And with both discs running at 80 minutes you get a long concert that's fairly well filmed.
Fans will love.
