FISH Return To Childhood (2CD) Snapper Music (2006)
A two disc set of last year's 'Return to Childhood' tour that saw Fish sing the entire 'Misplaced Childhood' album to mark its 20th anniversary.
This live set was recorded in Tilburg, Holland last November and disc one covers Fish's solo output to date.
Some real standouts here like 'Credo' and 'Raingods Dancing', which always elicits a good crowd response. Top notch sound and Fish is in good form throughout the gig.
The second disc is 'Misplaced Childhood' in its entirety from the beautiful ballad 'Lavender' through to the rousing anthem 'Heart of Lothian'.
For Fish-era Marillion fans there are further delights with 'Incommunicado', 'Market Square Heroes' and 'Fugazi' rounding of the set.
Although I like both eras of Marillion you cannot beat Fish singing the songs form his era and he obviously still enjoys performing the songs all these years later.
I thoroughly enjoyed last year's London gig, despite Fish struggling with the after effects of a heavy cold and this live CD is a great souvenir of a very special album and performer.
