ENUFF Z NUFF One More For The Road Livewire (2005)
This is a live CD recorded in 2003 and featuring vocalist Donnie Vie plus
original Enuff Z Nuff members Derek Frigo (who passed away a few months
after this gig) and Vik Foxx, plus stand-in bassist Tim Tame.
The sound is very poor it has to be said - too much cymbals and hard to pick out the
guitars in places - but there is a good reason for this. The whole show was
recorded off fans’ digital cameras as there was no plans to record the show
at the time for a live release, hence the poor sound quality.
If you can put up with the sound this is a very live and in your face recording of the
band. All the live favourites are here including ‘Baby Loves You’, ‘Fly High
Michelle’ and ‘New Thing’. There is a cover of the Beatles’ ‘Revolution’ and
a new studio recording, ‘Mary Jane’ although to be honest it is not a
classic by this band’s high standards.
Not essential by any means and definitely a ‘fans only’ purchase and a
pity the gig wasn’t professionally recorded as it seems a shame that this is
Derek Frigo’s swansong.
