A duo consisting of vocalist Liz Young and multi-instrumentalist Ben Goddard, whose debut EP released late last year I thoroughly enjoyed. Happy to report the full album is just as good.

Musically they remind me of Karnataka, All About Eve and the musical soundscape of Keane. 'Circling' you can listen to again and again such is the depth of the tune whilst 'The Dare' and 'Your Name' would sit easily on daytime Radio 2.

That's not to say they are bland but that the music will be enjoyed by fans of well written, played and sung music. Young's vocals have a gentle lilt to them that hook you into the music with ease and before you know it you're back listening again and again to the album.

Ellenby have produced a very accomplished debut album and one I urge you to give a listen to.
