CRY HAVOC 'Live, Raw & In Your Face' (www.cry-havoc.co.uk)(2004)
Now Cry Havoc were one of the gems on the Chavis Records roster, being a
classic slice of melodic hard rock with some damn fine catchy tunes. The
band called it a day sadly but the good news is that the band are back
working on a new album!
This live-in-the-studio release dates back to 1996, but has many of the debut album’s tunes like the crunching guitar melody of
‘Holding On To Your Dreams’ - a radio song if ever there was one. Then there
is the rocking ‘Fuel That Feeds the Fire’ and ‘No Way Out’ where again the
chorus hooks you in.
There are two previously unreleased tracks, ‘Heartland’
that trundles along on a big guitar riff and ‘Beat the Bullet’ which is a
standard rocker. Fans of melodic rock will enjoy this band that’s for sure.
Well worth getting if you’re a fan and if not get this and the band’s
wonderful debut album.
